ATW Seattle invites you to join us on Thursday, February 28th, 2008 as we kick off one of our most popular events of the year by spending an evening with Carol Vecchio, Executive Director and co-Founder of Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal (www.centerpointonline.org).

Founded in 1992, Centerpoint is the leading center for career development in the Pacific Northwest. Its mission is to inspire people to discover creativity, passion, and renewed commitment in life and at work. This workshop is back by popular demand for ATW members!

Carol will facilitate a workshop focused on building your career by focusing the key to your success … your passion. It is possible to love your work! This engaging, practical, hands-on workshop will jump-start your new year.

Speaker Biography
Carol A. Vecchio is co-founder and Executive Director of Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal. She is a sought-out speaker and facilitator who has inspired audiences of all sizes throughout the US and Canada.
As a full-time career counselor since 1981, her professional development includes a degree in psychology, graduate studies in counseling, and extensive training with Richard N. Bolles author of What Color is Your Parachute?. Throughout her 26 years of career counseling, Carol has worked with people in a variety of fields and professions; one of her specialties over the past 24 years is assisting lawyers and the legal profession.
Her purpose in life is to help others embrace and learn from the uncertainty that change brings, uncover their passions, and create lives that they love. She is currently writing a book whose working title is The Time Between Dreams: Successfully Navigating Change and Uncertainty in Your Career and Your Life. She balances her work with times spent with her husband, singing, cats, jewelry making, walking half marathons, home improvement projects, and “urban homesteading.”

Description: ATW Seattle invites you to join us for a presentation by Marja Brandon, Head of School at Seattle Girls’ School (www.seattlegirlsschool.org) on Wednesday, October 24th at 6pm. Marja will share her story on empowering young women through education and becoming a nationally recognized ‘Woman of Influence.’ Our interactive discussion will focus on how one person has the ability to influence a generation.

Marja Brandon is the Head of School at Seattle Girls’ School, where girls are encouraged to explore science, math and technology through a unique, integrated curriculum (www.seattlegirlsschool.org). Marja was recently honored as one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s 20 Women of Influence. She is also the recipient of the Helen H. Jackson Women of Valor Award in Education presented by Senators Hillary Clinton and Maria Cantwell, as well as the 2006 Brava Award presented by the Women's University Club of Seattle. For over 20 years, she has dedicated herself to teaching and working with young people and their families. Marja has an energetic, engaging style that puts an emphasis on respecting students and valuing the powerful connection between student-centered learning, high expectations and self-esteem.
