Her research mirrors her teaching responsibilities as she studies emerging aspects of enterprise applications, their design, and the impact they have on companies. Location: Microsoft Desert Mountain District
2929 N. Central Ave., Suite 1400
Phoenix, AZ 85012
Description: Could your brain be sabotaging your career? You may already know you need to change your attitude to change your behavior. However, no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to stop negative feelings that cause tension, arguments and frustration with family members, friends and colleages. This is because you're under the spell of your "over-protective" brain. To break that spell, you need to understand how your brain works so you can consciously choose how you want to feel and act. Join us on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 to learn how to access the emotional intelligence your brain is protecting you from using from Dr. Marcia Reynolds.

Dr. Reynolds is a world-renowned expert at teaching people how their brains work so they can make better choices, deal with life's challenges and strengthen their relationships. Her client list includes Nokia, British Telecom, Medtronic, GlaxoSmithKline, Amgen, American Express, Maersk, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Advance Auto, Home National Bank, and Staples plus many agencies of the National Institute of Health. Excerpts from her book, Outsmart Your Brain, have appeared in Fortune, Investors Business Daily, Cosmopolitan, Christian Science Monitor, Family Circle, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times, and she has appeared on ABC World News, National Public Radio, and Japan Nightly News.

During her presentation you'll learn:
* How your brain works and what's really driving your thoughts and behavior,

* How to shift into an "optimal productive state,"

* How to identify the source of others' emotions so you can negotiate more effectively and resolve conflicts more easily,

*How to clear your mind so you can make better decisions and get the results you want.

Although you may be smart, your brain could be holding you back. Don't let it! Register today and take control of your life by learning techniques to help you control your brain instead of letting it control you.

Browne is President of Get Heard at Work, a company that's dedicated to helping people communicate more effectively with colleagues, managers and customers.
